Purpose of this Website
Fundamentals: I subscribe to the absolute immutable authority of the Written Torah (Humash / Law of Moses) which was given to the people of Israel by the ONE Transcendent Creator for them to impliment for all time [ see Everlasting Covenant ]. Intrinsic to this Torah is a judicial system established upon a divinely ordained supreme court originally established under Mosha (Moses). In accordance with the teaching of the Written Torah (Deuteronomy 17:8-13) I submit to the authority of this ancient Court, with all its decrees and rulings regarding the implementation of the 613 commands of the Written Torah. [The books which make up the Tanakh ("Old" Testament) were selected by this same Court, due to their ruling, and the commandment to accept the instruction of Torah-true prophets, I also believe in the entire Tanakh (Jewish Bible/ "Old" Testament), though its authority is dependent upon the authority of the Law of Moses]. The rulings of this Court and some of the debates and discussions that took place in its last years are preserved in the Talmudic texts. Such a person who subscribes to the above is generally referred to in the English language as a member of Orthodox Judaism, though in the Jewish language (Hebrew/Ivrith) no specific term historically existed.
I fully accept all the fundaments of the Jewish Faith as explained by Rambam (Maimonides) in what is known as the '13 Principles of Our Faith.' Do not mistake oversimplified editions of these 13 principles for the original 13 Principles which he pinned in his commentary to the Mishna.
I also subscribe to the view that the Mishneh Torah, composed by Rambam, is the most accurate and reliable codification of the Talmudic laws; That it is the most complete codification is without debate, elaborating even upon the Noahide laws. Therefore I promote keeping halakha according to this composition, in contrast to going according to the Shulhhan Arukh, Mishna Brura, etc..

A Small Elaboration of Perspectives within Torah - community ("Judaism") representative of my own (which are distinct from many other Jewish communities) can be gleaned from the writings of Rambam (see Mishneh Torah) or from the Wikipedia article on Dor Daim -- only keep in mind that we in no way reject the existence of Ma'aseh Merquva and Ma'aseh Beresheyth (..that there is a valid esoteric aspect to Torah) and that I do not necessarily fall in line with everything one may assume about 'Dor Daim' nor with everything one may assume about 'talmedhei haRambam;' We should not strive to be a lable -- we must strive to be devoted surrenderers to the Holy One alone. The only labled organization that I desire to be known as a member of is Yeh-hu-dee (Yehudi/Jew) and Yees-ra-eh-lee (Yisraeli/Israelite). Yehudi literally means one who acknowedges and praises ("hud") the Almighty ("Y'e'h"). Yisraeli refers to one who is a member of the historical people of Israel. Such as person is obligated to keep all of the Torah's 613 commandments as they relate to him in contrast to the Noahide Laws. Non-Israelites are only obligated to faithfully uphold the Noahide Laws in order to live as upright individuals before the Creator.
